Careers at BlueDolphin

How we hire

A closer look for people interviewing with us. What each stage is really about, and how to show up as yourself.

Our process is a conversation, not a gauntlet. Four stages, and every one is a two-way read: you are getting to know us as much as we are getting to know you. Here is what each stage is really for, in our own words, so you can walk in as yourself.

The four stages

1

Recruiter interview

We kick things off by asking what you already know about us, then we fill in the gaps and get into whatever you are curious about. So come with a point of view on BlueDolphin, and bring your questions, all of them: what we do, the role, the practical stuff, the things that feel too small to ask later. Ask them here. On our side, we are not going to march through your CV line by line. We would rather hear the real story: who you are, what you are into, what is going on for you right now, and what is pulling you toward this role. Come as yourself. That is the version of you we actually want to meet.

2

Leadership interview

Now you meet the person you would actually work for, for the first time. Treat it like getting to know a future manager: ask about how they lead and what their style is. Then go deep on the role itself, what it really covers day to day, where you think you would do your best work, and what success in it looks like. Expect it to run both ways, though. While you are reading the role and the leader, they will be digging deeper into your experience and how you think about the work. The more concrete you both get, the better. By the end you should have a clear picture of the job and the person leading it, and they should have a real read on you.

3

Technical stage

This one changes shape depending on the role, so we cannot tell you exactly what it will be, expect something like a case or a presentation built around the actual work. Here is the part most people miss: however technical it gets, we are looking at you as a whole person, not just whether the answer is correct. Getting it right matters. But how you think and how you work matters just as much. In most cases we will let you use AI, so how you work with it counts too. For us, the human and soft side is technical as well.

4

On-site visit

This is the final step, and yes, it is the culture and vibe check, as strange as that sounds to say out loud. By the time you are here it is usually down to you and one other strong candidate, so this is less about whether you are good enough (you are) and more about us choosing between two great options. So be yourself. Show us how you work with people and get to know the team on a human level, most of it happens face to face with people you might soon call colleagues. It is also your last, best chance to ask everything, cover anything still on your mind, because if an offer comes we want no open questions left. We will be doing exactly the same from our side.

How we make decisions

Every process checks the basics: can you do the job, and do you fit the role and the team. We do that too. These are the extra things we weigh on top of that.

Cultural edge

Not just fit. We look for people who share our values and also push us to be better, the ones who raise the team's bar rather than just slot in.

AI readiness

How you already use AI in your work, what you automate and where you keep a person in the loop. In a few years this will be a basic, like using the internet.

Potential

We hire for years, not months. Someone with real room to grow can win over a more polished fit today.

What you can expect from us

You always hear back

The moment you have spoken with a human on our team, you get feedback at every stage, whatever the outcome. We send it by email on purpose. We would rather you read honest, specific feedback in your own time than get a call that puts you on the spot. Read it, sit with it, reply if you want. If you would like to talk it through afterwards, we are always up for a call.

No trick questions

Everything we do is built to show you what the job actually feels like. We are not going to spring a gotcha on you to watch you sweat, that is not the work, and it is not us. We would rather see you doing the real thing, and let you feel what working here is really like. No crazy tasks, no fake questions.
